Dr. Arshia Roohian DPM is a board-certified podiatrist. She is a specialist in the diagnosis and care of foot disorders, including their medical and surgical treatment. She received her initial podiatric training at the California College of Podiatric Medicine. After her residency at MSC/LAC Hospital, Dr. Roohian completed her Fellowship in Diabetic Ulcers at LAC Hospital.

Dr. Roohian has been practicing podiatry since the year 2000. She is board-certified by the prestigious American Board of Podiatry. Dr. Roohian offers a variety of leading-edge foot and ankle treatments.

Dr. Farshad Bathaee DPM is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. With 19 years of experience, he treats patients of all ages with foot and ankle ailments and has a special interest in reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Farshad Bathaee was raised in Cary, NC and attended North Carolina State University for both undergraduate and graduate studies. He received his bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics with an emphasis in genetics. Dr. Bathaee continued his education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where he earned his doctorate degree in podiatric medicine. For his post graduate residency, Dr. Bathaee began training at Allegheny University Hospital and then transferred to Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD to continue in foot and ankle surgery. There, he received extensive surgical training through complicated reconstructive surgeries of the foot and ankle.

Laser fungal removal

Hi gift giver First we need to confirm your fungal nail infection by sending a sample to be cultured. Then we go over all the options you have for fungal treatments. A lot of times if it's just one toenail and it's fairly new, we try to treat it by topical anti-fungals. If the fungal infection is very severe and involves more than 2-3 toes per foot, most likely the laser by itself won't work. We usually recommend combination therapies such as topical and laser or topical and pill. We usually see better result after performing minimum of three laser treatments. We need to get a nail biopsy to see if there are any signs of fungal growth. If fungal infection is the issue you we can schedule a laser fungal consultation or you can try topical or oral medications, depending on severity of the infection. -Dr. Roohian

Ganglion cyst

Dear Angie A lot of times, Gamglion cysts don't have to be removed. Depending on the size and their location, we decide on removing it surgically. Sometimes, we can try to aspirate the fluid with large syringe. I think the best way to discuss your treatment options is to make appointment with us. Our consultation is $100 for cash patients.
